How I can fix my USB hard drive external hard disk device?
No error messages at all. Does not even appear in "My Computer." I accidentally diconnected (unplugged) my 40 GB USB storage device, and now my computer just freezes. Blinks and blinks and blinks and blinks like Boot your machine or trying to make a connection, but never passed that stage. Even I have my computer to run chkdsk on a reboot one last time fixed the problem, but at least then the computer could recognize the firelight as the D: drive and I could run file recovery programs on it to divert recoverable data. Then, in a reboot chkdsk found a problem with the disc and fixed, and it worked perfectly. But now the administration recognizes that there whicj Hardware H looks like a mass storage device, but can not seem to do anything with it. I'm pretty sure it's just looking for the other half of the information wahtever was left behind when he accidentally took him out and he said not to write error. I know there's a way to fix this, but I can not seem to find help.
that disconnected in the middle of writing, so it is really a problem. try to uninstall the device first, then cut the power supply, this should end any writing cycle has begun. Then try reinstalling the driver again, if you have an installation disk. If not, it's too late, unless send the unit to the manufacturer, as mass storage devices must have a car no. if you have the installation disk for the driver, try installing it, otherwise send the unit to the manufacturer, as mass storage devices must have a car no.
