Prevention Will Lead To Affordable Medical Insurance For All American’s

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Americans believe the most affordable health overage is prevention, according to a poll released by the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Seventy percent of respondents to the poll support investing in community and nation-wide prevention plans as the best form of affordable healthcare Americans could find. As the debate over healthcare reform continues, more and more people agree that the best possible health care is preventing disease and injury in the first place. Lowering health problems will lead to lower health coverage costs. BesthHealthcareRates.com offers these tips for preventing health problems and keeping affordable medical insurance coverage a priority for individuals and families.

1. Don’t smoke. The most important thing you can do for your health is to stop smoking. It’s also a great way to reduce your medical insurance costs. Although the number of smokers has reduced dramatically over recent years, smoking remains the number one preventable cause of death in the country. Smoking affects virtually every organ in your body, from your lungs to your heart to your circulation. Because smoking constricts your blood vessels, it severely limits the amount of oxygen your body receives, including your brain. Medical professionals agree unequivocally that quitting smoking is the best thing you can do to prevent disease and death. Because of the many health problems smoking causes, medical insurance plan premiums increase dramatically for smokers. Providing funding to smoking cessation programs is a preventative measure that will help make affordable health coverage possible.

2. Closely following smoking as a health threat, obesity is a national epidemic in America, making affordable health coverage difficult to provide. Obesity is one of the fastest growing health threats, leading to heart problems, diabetes and a host of other medical problems. Tackling obesity is a two-fold proposition including healthy eating habits and increasing physical activity. Rather than following fad diets or pre-packaged diet programs, funding programs to teach real-life nutritional meal preparation and eating habits can prevent and reverse obesity. Incorporating physical activity into your daily lifestyle is another terrific way to prevent and reduce obesity, which will help lead to affordable health coverage for American families.

3. Make use of free health screenings and services. Nearly every community has some health screening tools available for very low or no cost. It is especially important for people without medical insurance to take advantage of these resources. You can find free blood pressure screening machines in many pharmacies, grocery stores or even discount department stores. Keeping a regular eye on your blood pressure can help spot developing medical problems early, which can significantly decrease medical expenses and help you maintain affordable health coverage. You can also take advantage of vision and hearing screenings in many communities, as well as diabetes screenings. These tests can all help you detect problems at their earliest possible stages and save your health as well as your money.

We all need affordable medical insurance, but it is even more important to have good health. The best way to attain and maintain good health is to prevent disease and poor health habits every way we can. By not smoking, eating properly, incorporating regular exercise into our lives and keeping an eye on our health through free screenings, we can make affordable medical insurance a reality for our families.

Decor tips for master bedrooms

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Your bedroom is not just another room in your house. It is a refuge where you rest, unwind and relax. The decoration of your bedroom should match the purpose it is designed to serve. Here are some master suite decor ideas to help spruce up that bedroom. Home bedding is also something you’ll want to consider.

When it comes to bedroom decor ideas, the rule is to stay with understated, relaxing decor. If you like having sofa sets and big comfy reading chairs in your master suite, make sure they match the decor of your room. Go in for substantial, plush furnishings and carpets.

Besides adding a hint of magnificence, such furnishings also helps mute noise. The furniture should be cozy and cosy, ideal for conversation and reading.Bed linen will make a huge difference in the room.

If you prefer to sleep in darkness, ensure you put up shades in the windows. Heavy draperies also assist in creating a dark and cool environment in the bedroom. If you enjoy reading at bedtime, it might be a brilliant idea to install reading lights on the wall. You can also place lampshades on each side of the bed.

Your bed is the center-piece of the master bed room and affects the decoration of the room to a great extent. Neutral toned duvets, bed linen , blankets and neutral toned coverlets are the best choice since they match with almost any other accessory but colourful ones are alright too. Fold back colored duvets to expose solid white or pastel sheets. This gives an inviting appearance to the bed. You ca either decide to have several pillows or go in for a single long pillow. Change pillow cases every now and then to give your room a new look.

An armoire or chest of drawers can accentuate the coziness of a room if positioned properly. It also provides good storage helping reduce muddle. Two area rugs can add to the warm, inviting feeling of the master suite. Again this relies on the flooring you have. Rugs work well on carpeted and hardwood flooring. Personalize your bedroom with family pictures or perhaps display of things you treasure from your childhood or college days.

Flowers and plants are a welcome addition to the space because they lend a factor of nature to the room. Use spotlights or white lights to focus on their presence. This lends fragrance and beauty to your room. These master bedroom decorating ideas are just a few of the various aspects of bedroom decor. No doubt you’ll have even more ideas as you go along.

Double Mortgage Payments Is Stressful – But Fixed With Rent To Own Sales

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

So your house has been up for sale for months, and you can’t afford to make mortgage payments on both your old and new homesproperties. You’re desperate to sell but don’t want to lose money. Today may be time to think about making your old home a rent-to-own property.

Before entering into an agreement, sellers have to decide the sale price and rent they’ll charge for the house. Both amounts are subject to negotiation, just as a regular sale would be. But sellers and buyers need to remember that once they sign an agreement, the sale price of the house is locked in until the end of their rental term, between one and 3 years. Even if other housing prices rise or fall during that time, the original agreed-upon sale price is final.

Tenants also have to pay an rent to own fee and then a rent premium. The rent to own fee is a set amount that the renter pays the seller. If, at the end of the rental period, the renter buys the house, the option fee becomes part of the down payment. If the tenant doesn’t buy the house, the option fee becomes income for the seller. Rent premiums are an amount slightly above the typical rent, with a portion of that money going toward a down payment.

Rent To Own Home Example

Here’s a normal example: The house is worth $200,000, and typical rent would be $1,000 a month. Somebody who’s renting to own might pay $1,200 a month in rent and then acquire a $400 rent credit each month. Add the option fee, in this case $5,000. On a three-year lease, the renter would realize $14,400 in rent credits. Adding the made rental credits to the option fee, the renter has increased $19,400 for a down payment.

This is a valuable alternative for buyers who otherwise wouldn’t have the credit score  or money saved to acquire their own home. And the sellers, eager to relieve themselves of the burden of the old home, earn this money whether or not the house sells once the leasing period expires. If, at the end of the contract the renter can’t or prefers not to buy the house, the seller keeps all of the money.

As with any business contract, there are common risks and disadvantages involved for both parties. What if someone else wants to purchase the house for a higher price than earlier negotiated? Who’s responsible for fixing the leaky roof in the middle of the night? All these terms can be addressed up front in a rent to own agreement.
