Credit Cards, Bathroom Sinks and More

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Life isn’t all fun in the sun, is it? After my girl and I spent a good week away from reality on vacation, it was time for us to confront our real lives again. From high interest rates on our credit cards and our car loan to home projects left unfinished, we had our work lined up for us. And you know, I’m determined old dog, so I was not giving up on my GPS project, either.

The first thing we did was address the credit cards. Gratefully, even in this time of tough credit, credit card companies and auto loan bureaus seem eager to please people with good credit. My wife did a good job isolating the best deal on 0 percent credit cards.

I’m grateful someone in the house has some sure sense of our financial situation… and it sure as heck is not me. But the lower interest and lower monthly bills ought to genuinely provide us some breathing room.

Then we had to handle a number of house improvements we had been designing for quite some time. Some might say we have no business investing in improvements at this time, but what can I say? We prefer to obstinately push forward.

My wife has been looking over the different available steam showers and we both agree on the bathroom lights and bathroom sinks we want for our bathroom remodel, but after looking over some discount bedding tips, we’re no longer on the same page for the new bedding.

Gratefully, she’s being either supportive or tolerant of my trivial gadget obsession. I’m not too bad about it, but I have my weakness. Currently I have narrowed it down to a handheld tv, DVD projectors or a Garmin Golflogix GPS. Speaking of GPS, we both agree it is time to invest in a bluetooth GPS receiver.

I think gps tech has refined enough and become inexpensive enough that we need to integrate it into our life.

I’m just relieved my wife and I are on the same page for a majority of this stuff. People’s lives can be so much more difficult when the individuals around you use your problems as launching places for their pride rather than chances to unify and mature.

Try this Cinema Booking Softare

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Now there’s an affordable way to manage cinema seat booking as a visual seat reservation software for your website or an online management tool. For example if you have a small cinema with say 500 seats and showing movies 7 days a week and maybe 4 screenings a day. A great way to use this cinema booking software is use it with a team of agents that will login as call centre staff and visually reserve seats from the cinema seat plan and print from PDF 128 barcoded e-tickets at checkout.

Try the backend Control Panel to set up each weeks Show Details daily. The cinema seat plan is live for all your agents to see and choose where to reserve seats neatly and efficiently, then when the show is over Admin is on hand to hide and reset the seat plan to empty and edit the new movie details for the next week

Where each show has a Date ID, order reports are perfect to bring up details of sales for each showing and even report on each of the call centre staff sales or the different seat sections for that day. Not only an instant online report but a print out in PDF or download an excell file for the accounts.

For Cinema Booking Software the E-Tickets are very useful too….the ticket will automatically show the movie details right down to the price on the ticket and can be edited easily from within Admin.

That’s only using this software as an Admin tool…but it can also be used for direct sales online from customers with careful management and even with a payment module installed.

Maybe this is the cinema booking software you have been looking for and so affordable. Download it free and try it out. It’s a great open source php script for selling cinema tickets online.

De-cluttering before packing to Move

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

De-cluttering before packing is an important aspect of preparing to move – because it allows you to decide what you’ll need for the new house, what you’ll have room for, and what you won’t.

The most important thing to remember when de-cluttering is that you’ll be making room and getting rid of emotional baggage, whilst lowering your moving bills. An average four person house requires at least a seven tonne van to move, whilst a house that doesn’t de-clutter might need twice that!

De-cluttering can be considered essential or heartless – but either way, moving house is one of the best times to do a proper de-clutter – in fact sometimes, its the only ‘spring clean’ that some people do. And while its always good to hang onto things of sentimental value, do you really need a newspaper from 1985 with an article about something that you needed to follow up within a week of the printing?

Get rid of any papers that you don’t need (though keep all important documentation) – consider donating any magazines, books, old toys or clothes in good condition to a local charity – or sell them on eBay or similar, to make some cash.

These donations and sales make mental and space sense – you’re not wasting perfectly good items you will probably never use again, and you could sell the really good condition items in a variety of places. You could hold a yard sale, or garage or even a car boot sale – or if you have enough time, auction them online, either via a recognized site, or through your own website, if you have the know how – getting rid of the things you don’t need is both very freeing and releasing, and can actually generate you some extra money for the move. You could even sell off surplus office, or craft supplies, if you have them spare, making your home office move leaner, and easier.

Want to get rid of your old car? Consider a used car donation – Help a good cause while helping yourself! Check out http://icardonations.com for more information about how to do a car donation.
