Identity Theft Isn’t Easy to Fix

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Are you one of those people who thinks that identity theft is no big deal? I know lots of people who think like that. Some of them even say, “Good luck to any thief trying to get credit in my name!” You might be surprised at just how clever identity thieves are with using your information.

Listen to this story that happened recently. Over this past summer, Trissina Neal of Killeen, Texas had someone turn on electrical power in her name in the same town she lives in. Then they skipped out on the bill. Now she doesn’t have electricity at her house. Why? Well, because the power company doesn’t believe her when she says that other bill isn’t hers. So they shut off her power because of non-payment. Now that’s gotta hurt.

After showing the electric company her current lease, they blew her off saying she probably had just moved. That’s the problem with identity theft. You’re automatically assumed guilty and a deadbeat when those unpaid bills show up. You have to jump through hoops to clear your name. Now this woman has to lose time from work, not to mention the aggravation, to prove she never lived at the address with the unpaid bill.

Not having to mess with a frustrating experience like this is why I have LifeLock id theft protection. If this happened to me, all I’d have to do is call LifeLock and they would take care of this for me. Actually, it probably would never have even happened because of the way they protect me from id thieves. It’s very difficult to open an account in my name. Heck, it’s difficult to open an account in the name of LifeLock’s CEO – and he publishes his social security number just to prove it.

The small membership fee I pay is well worth it to me to know I have this type of company standing behind me. I got a Life Lock promotional code and it lowered the cost even more.

Cars and Car Accessories

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Many accessories made for cars have appeared during the previous decades.  During the 50s and the 60s, car accessories were mostly made for the car’s mechanical and exterior.  Believe it or not, gauges to measure the fuel and RPM were not as common in cars in those days compared to the modern cars we know today.  Even basic exterior parts such as mudflaps did not always come with every brand new vehicle.

Car owners of the 1950s and ‘60s have learned to add several car gadgets to their own cars to put in both purpose and convenience.  These persons often referred to as greasers or grease-monkeys.  They did several modifications to their cars or their parents’ cars to fine-tune them and make them seem more tailored to their own panache.  Accessorizing cars back then involved replacing and taking out parts and replacing them with adequate or more impressive car accessories or parts.  Modified cars like these are usually called hot-rods.  Since then, different car makers have included parts and accessories that were not included before.

Every generation of cars get better in terms of horse power, efficiency, comfort and convenience.  A car engine’s power and performance have been improved all throughout the years with the way they’re built and what type of materials they’re made of.  Efficiency in terms of gas kilometer-age or mileage have to a certain extent been dictated by economic and practical causes.  During the When the oil producing countries issued an oil embargo in the 70’s, a lot of earlier manufactured cars which consume significant quantities of gasoline have lost their appeal in the maket in favor of smaller and more economical cars.  With petroleum prices on the rise again, people are buying cars that offer a much lower engine displacement while enjoying various car amenities we take for granted nowadays like car stereos, automatic windows, and cup holders, a good number of which were uncommon luxuries from cars made during the 1950s-70s.

One particular form of car accessory which is supposed to decrease a car’s fuel consumption is called the super turbo charger.  This car gadget can fit at the palm of your hand and it is installed linking a car’s carburetor or EFI manifold and the air filter.  The device claims to reduce air pollution and cut gasoline consumption by up to fifty percent.

Certain car accessories supply additional functions to make cars look more sleek and for car travel to be more pleasurable.  Some car accessories serve as protection just like those car door guard edge strip.  They are simple, cheap and effective.  This strip of rubber may save you and your insurance a large sum of cash in case you accidentally hit another car with your door.

Car gadgets and accessories have provided different functionalities and conveniences for car owners around the world.  With these gadgets, people can now listen to their selected mp3 tracks, watch their favorite TV shows on the road, or even heat their cup of coffee.  As cars evolve, so will different innovative car accessories and products.

Picking the Right Hutch for Your Guinea Pig

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Do you know that of all the guinea pig supplies you are going to require, the most essential one to keeping your guinea pig healthy and happy revolves around your guinea hutch?

That’s correct and the hutch is by far the largest investment you can make in terms of money spent for your guinea pig so you want to be certain you do this right so you will have a healthier and happier pet for years to come!

The first factor you need to think about when choosing a hutch is the size. Think about your pet for a minute here… guinea pigs are lively and love to run around. A little hutch means not very much running and the running you are doing takes place in your own feces. This is not a pleasant thought for anybody.

I’m not implying that the guinea hutch needs to be so big that it consumes an entire room, however, do make confident that you buy a cage large enough for your guinea pig to both take cover (use as a cave) and scamper about (to get some exercise).

If you have the space, a 4 feet by 4 feet guinea hutch is perfect… but do not go with one that is any smaller than 2′ x 2′.  However, if you have more than one guinea, you need to stick with a bigger hutch. Remember, if your guinea (just as with other animals) doesn’t have the ability to play and exercise, then you will have an obese pet which will probably lead to health problems and depression.

When looking to purchase a cage an additional part you should rembember is that the cage has a solid floor.  This is much better than a wired floor.  If you use your imagination for a minute, you can imagine numerous reasons why a wired botton would not be good for your guinea pig or for you. The most widespread form for a floor in a guinea pig hutch is a plastic floor. This solid floor is a lot easier to clean and look after. As a bonus, if you can purchase one that slides in and out with ease you are going to be much happier in the long run.

Another thing that many of people don’t think about when they are looking at guinea cages is the door. You will want to focus on to this element and make sure that you (or the person with the biggest hand in your household) is able to get your hand within the cage and be able to move throughout the the hutch easily. You do not want to be struggling when you need to get inside!

After your hutch is picked out, you will want to decide what type of bedding you are going to use. I have used pretty much all types of bedding available and without a doubt I would pick a product called Timothy Hay. This is extremely safe for your guinea pig and they love to play in it and will even eat it. In addition to the bedding you will want to think about buying some toys for your guinea pig. These will be areas for him/her to take cover and to play with. You can aquire things such as rocks, spinning wheels, balls, large PVC pipes, etc. Get creative and make your guinea cage an exciting place for your cavy to play and sleep!
