Iron Making Thermite and Safety Precautions?
I know how to do it and I know the proportions to use. However, I have some questions for any who has used, uses, or learn more about creating iron thermite me. First, given that the termites are not explosive, not illegal to possess or believe, right? I have some hard drives I'd like to tear down and destroy termite considering very efficient, I would like to use to prevent data recovery. On the second question. Fe3 and EF4 are the two most common types of iron used to make thermite. Is there a significant difference between the oxide and black iron? Third, states that a wiki thermite reactions emit a ton of UV radiation, and should not be seen directly. Well, of course, want to see my album is recorded on the hard ground, but there is a sure way to see the reaction? Solder masks? good sunglasses? Sunscreen? Any other information would be useful. And no, I can talk about this. It will happen.
so it's great, I'm not going to get out of this i good .. lol did it once to melt a door hinge in tuition.lol so you need the same amount of aluminum powder, the finest, then you need ironIII oxide, its a little red, not rust .. could work (never tried), but ironIIIoxide is the best …. and yes you need a magnesium ribbon, if possible … will not ignite with matches or lighters, even if I want, that could be dangerous … the temperature is increased to 2200 degrees centigrade … so be careful … and yes there is a danger of UV … will burn with the second …. its not harmful. .. you could try welding masks if you can … or sunglasses very well …. hmmmm yes to mix the two and put the tape to light magnesium .. fun …= o)
